Location: Fareham Workshop
We’re looking for a reliable and detail-focused Storeman to join our busy Logistics & Stores function. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials and tools across the workshop. You’ll play a vital part in keeping operations running smoothly by managing stock, supporting fabrication teams, and ensuring compliance with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate stock levels of materials, tools, and consumables
- Organise and issue equipment to workshop personnel
- Monitor and manage deliveries, returns, and off-hire equipment
- Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate records
- Ensure cleanliness and safety standards in the stores area
- Work closely with production and project teams to meet operational needs
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in a stores or warehouse environment (engineering background preferred)
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Excel, stock management systems)
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A proactive, team-oriented approach
- Valid CB forklift licence (essential)
- Clean, valid driving licence (essential)
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics (desirable but not essential)
Requirements:
- Please be aware that roles at Hythe Engineering require security clearance. Successful candidates must obtain security clearance for the position.
