Hythe Engineering Hosts Visit from the Submarine Procurement Alliance (SPA) and Other Partners
On Friday, 5th September 2025, Hythe Engineering was delighted to welcome representatives from the Submarine Production Alliance (SPA), Siemens Energy and other partners to its headquarters in HMNB Portsmouth and the Historic Dockyard.
As part of the visit, the team had the opportunity to get an overview of the SPA along with updates on the Dreadnought Programme from the SPA’s Dreadnought Programme Director, Stuart Godden. We also had the privilege of hearing from Lt Clare Holland RN, Military Assistant to Submarine Production Alliance Managing Director, who offered a unique insight into life on board a submarine. Their presentations and experiences really highlighted the vital role our teams and the services provided by Hythe play in supporting these programmes and strengthening our ongoing partnerships.
The morning concluded with an engaging Q&A session, giving colleagues the chance to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of the impact of our work on the programmes and the lives of those who will serve onboard the submarines.
