The King Leads Nation in Silence on Remembrance Sunday

On Remembrance Sunday, thousands gathered in London’s Whitehall as His Majesty the King led the nation in honouring those who served. Approximately 10,000 members of the public joined in a two-minute silence at the Cenotaph, followed by The Royal British Legion’s Veterans Parade.

Representing 326 Armed Forces and civilian organisations, the parade included participants of all ages—from the bereaved children of Scotty’s Little Soldiers to D-Day veterans of the Spirit of Normandy Trust.

Mysterious Shipwreck Confirmed As Lost Royal Navy WW1 Warship

Royal Navy experts have confirmed the identity of a World War 1 wreck off the Scottish coast found in the summer as HMS Hawke.

Before divers swam around the remains of the cruiser, no one had seen her since she was torpedoed by a German submarine on October 15 1914 while carrying out a patrol of the North Sea.

The wreck was found by Lost in Waters Deep, a volunteer team of civilian researchers and divers who aim to find lost and forgotten shipwrecks around the UK and remember their crews.

Meeting Global Climate Goals Requires a Shift in Nuclear Investment

The World Economic Forum reports on the global need for nuclear.

  • Nuclear capacity must triple by 2050, calling for investment to rise from $50 billion to $150 billion annually.
  • Small modular reactors are key to the energy transition, offering flexibility and scalability but require further regulatory developments.
