Hythe Engineering Welcomes Lawrence Underwood as Delivery Director to Drive Operational ExCEllence
Hythe Engineering Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of Lawrence Underwood ChPP MAPM as its new Delivery Director. In this pivotal role, Lawrence will oversee the end-to-end delivery of complex projects, ensuring that Hythe Engineering continues to exceed client expectations through timely, high-quality execution and strategic alignment with market demands.

Responsibilities
As Delivery Director, Lawrence will be responsible for:
- Leading cross-functional delivery teams across all business units, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Managing project lifecycles from concept through commissioning, ensuring adherence to schedule, quality standards and budget.
- Implementing robust governance frameworks and risk-management practices to safeguard project outcomes.
- Driving innovation in delivery methodologies, while leveraging our digital tools, data and systems to enhance efficiency and transparency across the business.
- Cultivating strong relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders to align delivery strategies with business objectives.
Lawrence joins Hythe Engineering from AWE, where he was contracted as a Senior Project Manager working on a key nuclear infrastructure programme. He previously held senior project management and engineering roles at Gardiner & Theobald LLP and Aquila Nuclear Engineering Ltd, working across a variety of sectors within the Nuclear industry, from nuclear decommissioning through to radiopharmaceuticals.
